Keeping our promises is critical for gaining trust in the world. Yet, there are times we make promises we can’t keep out of desire to make others feel good.

This is the worst thing we can do, as the people we make our promise to then make their own contingency plans based on what they are expecting from you. If you can’t keep your promise, that creates drag on everybody’s Velocity.
