Stop measuring how busy you are. Busy is the enemy of accomplishment. Velocity measures what matters—progress toward a clear destination. If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will do, and most of them lead directly to Nowhere, Population: You.

Remember: alignment is key. I want buy-in, not just “I guess the boss said so.” Get people bought in, and you’ll bulldoze resistance like my barber bulldozes my hairline every month.

Here’s a story. Years ago, I had a speech impediment. With a name like Ron Karr®, let’s just say that every introduction was a challenge. But I didn’t let it stop me. I powered through, made it my strength—and now, funny enough, I get paid to speak for a living. Lesson: if I can overcome my obstacles, so can you.

Now let’s get practical.

Celebrate wins loudly, but celebrate team momentum even more. Show your people that you see them. When somebody feels truly valued, watch how they transform into a productivity supernova.

Use tech to speed things up, but never sacrifice connection. Call your people. Praise them. Tell them they’ve knocked it out of the ballpark—bonus points if it’s before their second cup of coffee.

Want unstoppable progress? Remove barriers. Build trust faster than a toddler builds a tower (and with fewer collapses). Make every action intentional.
