The Stars Are Shining Brightly on Us!!!

Published on October 2, 2003

At this year’s Emmy Awards, it was astonishing to realize how many beloved stars passed away in the last 12 months. Stars that made us laugh such as John Ritter. Stars powerful enough to inspire us such as Bob Hope. Stars that moved us through their creative geniuses and talent such as Katharine Hepburn, Gregory Peck, Charles Bronson, Buddy Hackett, Gregory Hines, Fred Rogers, Nell Carter, Buddy Ebsen and Richard Crenna.

Charles Bronson taught us that success can come at anytime as he drifted from the Pennsylvania coal mines into Hollywood stardom. Katharine Hepburn made us realize how far a “forthright, free-thinking, iron-willed individual” can really go in this world. And, in the tribute by Henry Winkler to his friend John Ritter, we learned that “John got by with one simple rule, and that was to do your best and really enjoy the journey.”

All of the above mentioned stars have one thing in common, they continuously strived to better themselves and their performances. And it shows through the incredible impacts they have made in our lives.

The take away message is to just continue your journey of improving yourself, living life to the fullest and enjoying the ride. If you are committed to this process, you too will leave behind a legacy that will have truly impacted the lives of others. It’s all within your grasp and power.

To our friends mentioned above and in the words of Bob Hope, “Thanks for the memories”. We will never forget you.
