Recently we lost an icon in broadcasting. Larry King died at the age of 87. He is known to have basically single-handedly brought CNN to the forthright of broadcasting companies.

It was in the mid-80s when he got his signature prime time special, in which for an hour he interviewed guests of all kinds: politicians, actors, famous people.

But why did those people come on his show to be interviewed, especially when many of them didn’t really know about him in the beginning? It was because of one thing that he did to make people feel comfortable talking to him.
